2017 Run for Research Awareness - Currently in Progress

Homes for Animal Heroes (HAH) is officially UP and RUNNING and now we’d like YOU to do the same to help us raise the funds needed to continue expanding our network!! HAH rehomes post-study dogs and educates the public about the TRUTH of how we care for them and why they are still necessary for human and animal health and well-being. Our research animals are heroes to millions of people and animals and HAH dogs are the cutest ‘ambassadors for the truth’ around!

HAH’s 2017 Run for Research Awareness is a virtual 5K that anyone, anywhere can join. You can be in any state or country and help us raise awareness and support for the HAH mission! You can jog alone in your neighborhood or on a treadmill. You can walk/run with a team in your favorite park. You can walk/run with your dog. You can create a team of people walking their dogs… or whatever you else you dream up. The point is to have fun and raise funds for an unprecedented and important cause! Registration is open NOW and folks will be able to contribute and participate until June 30th, 2017. You can run whenever you want. It’s up to you! Many of us are putting teams together with our dogs and kids and choosing a day to walk/run together with our work families. Dogs that are registered will receive their own race medal and the team with the most dogs will receive special prizes!

Then, create your profile, set a fundraising goal, and share on social media. This is a great way to get your friends and family involved. They can join your team and run to support our animal heroes, or they can contribute to your campaign to help you raise money! It costs nothing to join or create a team, though anyone can contribute at any time. The goal is to get people to join your team and share their fundraising pages on social media to gather sponsors. Lots of Homes for Animal Heroes goodies will be awarded for funds raised by individuals and there are team awards too!

Most importantly, the local AALAS branch that raises the most money will receive a trophy and bragging rights on the Homes for Animal Heroes website!
